Hey guys,
While I'm writing this, I'm laying on my bed listening to Tim Bendzko, an amazing German singer & songwriter! *_* :))
This Blog is made for my exchange year, it starts officically on August, 8th. But in my head, it started months ago already.

On April, 6th, I was in the Internet, searching for summerholiday-exchanges. I found some, but they were really really expensive. So my parents told me, they wouldn't pay that much for some weeks, because it is not the same experience as living a whole year in a different country. I thought about it the whole night and the next morning I told my mum: "Mum, I'll fill in the online-application today." She didn't even know what I was talking about xD
Soon afterwards next problems came up: The deadline for applications was the 31th of January. I thought this can't be true. I phoned the AFS-Organisation and they told me, they couldn't promise anything, but I could try. So I tried. And I remember the moment when I received the E-mail telling me that they took me! "AFS-USA hat dich garantiert" was the headline. I was so happy, ran through the whole room singing and laughing.
Many applications and forms later I was at the same point as all the other students. Waiting for my hostfamily.
Then on 6th of July, some tears already gone, some happiness shared with friends who got the family, I finally received the E-mail! 'Congratulations, You have a host family!' I almost started crying. This was the best moment until now! :) I ran to my mother, but couldn't find the words. But she got it what had happened! ;D I texted all my friends, phoned some of them, googled the new adress and read all the documents about! :) I am so happy! They seem very very very nice and I am looking so much forward to see them soon! :)

Now it is just another 12 days away! The first 'goodbyes' are already said, last hugs for a whole year>.<

But I am looking so much forward! I'll post every so often what is happening to me in the USA! :)
