After 4 and a half months in Landenberg, I went back to where everything began: NEW YORK CITY
I heard so much of this city already, movies, books, stories all about New York.
On Saturday we, my hostparents, Emma, a friend MacKenzie and me drove to the train station in NJ where we got on the train which brought us exactly to Penn Station. There we met Emma's best friend Callie and her Mum. I got out of the station and couldn't believe it. New York City. Buildings, protruding high in the sky; people, rushing on the sidewalks; the sound of the horn out of the streets; police sirens, yellow cabs along the street, the smell of a city, smoke, homeless people, drunk people, rich ladies with Louis Vitton Shopping Bags, collegestudents, hanging on their laptops in Starbucks, street signs, the traffic lights hanging on the street, black and white crosswalks. 1000 impressions at this one exact simple moments. How much I read about it. But my imagination never was big enough to imagine this exact moment. Amazed I looked up to the sky. Sky over New York.
We walked down to the Time Square, accompanied by many Street artist, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Spongebob, Donald Duck, Lucky Luke, and so many others. On the side the beautiful decorated shop windows, it's christmas time! :)
We turned right and reached fifth avenue, the stores, the lights, the decorations, I was amazed!
We found our way down to Rockefeller Center. Looking at the tree, I saw a little snowflake, dancing in the air.
I had a wonderful day and a lot of fun!
